New Play, free audio book and great interviews!

Sherri’s Playhouse is really busy right now;

Our next play is called Never Again! I am so excited to have this adaption of RM Alexander‘s short story from her amazing book series!!

Failure isn’t an option…

Ken Shepherd’s witness is murdered, leaving him to want more than just to arrest the criminals and walk away. A career change to the Witness Security Program gives the opportunity to help people who made bad decisions find a second chance. But will high expectations lead to happiness or is death lurking around the corner?

 Sherri’s Playhouse has presented my very short, tiny play called Mishpucha! It was originally for an under 10 minute play writing contest. But it was so personal and special I decided to do it on Sherri’s Playhouse. It is a very short re-imagining of the founding of my family in the US. http://tobtr.com/10987227 and you can listen in as Chatting With Sherri chats with the cast of Mishpucha; http://tobtr.com/11007013

Birthday Break

I am taking a bit of my break from the blogging and the Blogtalk radio show. So I will be quiet for two weeks. Picture 032 (2)My birthday is coming up and I think I deserve this gift of quiet. I will be back of course my next episode of Chatting With Sherri is actually the day after my birthday, Feb 18th. My birthday is on Feb 17th so that will work out well. My next blog will be on Feb 20th. I have been working very hard for over year with out a break. Some days I’ve worked a whole 24 hrs. on two or three projects. Am I justifying taking time off? Yeah, probably if I am honest my gut tells me I  should not stop but my heart and my health tell me I need a break.
me at the del at an event (2)
I will work on my writing , working out, visiting with friends and family during the break. Doing fun stuff.  I’ll still do my yoga and I’ll still do my meditating. All things I had to fit in. The passion I have been the most lax about is my writing. I work on it three or four times a week instead of everyday. I have so much writing to do so I am going to take that time for that as well. It has been a really long time since I had time to do much of that so I am taking the time for me.
Speaking of writing I am happy to let you know that my friend Nancy Cornell-Healy was just published for the BdWDJvCCMAAdSBPfirst time!  I interviewed Nancy twice. Research For a Book

schrift 2_whiteBGWhen you research a book there are a lot of moving parts so you have to watch yourself to make sure your not missing one of the bolts that holds on a wheel. What is she talking about you might ask? Well I am working on a new book, a thriller which has a lot of research. And there are a lot of bits and pieces that all fit together but are not really related except that they are in my little story.

I had a huge gaping mistake that I found recently that I had no idea that I missed.  I was re-reading the first two chapters to check for a name, and I found that I messed up a title of a character. I had to re-do all three chapters because of this little mistake. One thread can unravel a whole garment and one mistake can unravel a whole story line.  Thank goodness I caught it but lesson learned.

Speaking of writing I am happy to let you know that my friend Nancy Cornell-Healy was jusBdWDJvCCMAAdSBPt nancypublished for the first time!  I interviewed Nancy twice.
